The end of the activities of ASBL Voies d'Eau du Hainaut
For over twenty years, the ASBL Hainaut Waterways has been working to enhance the Canal du Centre historique and its hydraulic structures UNESCO World Heritage.
Its teams have enabled thousands of visitors, schools and curious onlookers to discover a heritage unique in the world, navigating between industrial memory and the transmission of knowledge.
Following a political decision taken at provincial levelThe ASBL will cease operations at the end of 2025.
This decision is part of a reorganization of tourism and heritage management of the Province of Hainaut, aimed at redefining missions and refocusing resources.
As a result, the 2025 tourist season will have been the last conducted by the ASBL Voies d'Eau du Hainaut.
